As an integral part of the leadership of the Division of Student Affairs, the Director of Student Organizations and Campus Programming oversees major campus programming, ~550 student organizations, and Student Senate. The director cultivates respectful, effective relationships amongst the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership (CSEL) staff and campus partners and is responsible for assessment of CSEL’s impact on student success. Primary focus areas of this position are:
- Leading the success of and budgets for: Student Organizations, Student Organization Finance, and Student Programming
- Student Organization Leadership Coaching and Student Senate Advising;
- Organizing the Division of Student Affairs’ role in campus-wide programming
- Coordinating large university events to support student engagement including Homecoming and Welcome Week
- Supervising staff, GA’s, and student employees
- Working directly with a variety of campus partners to develop policies and protocols addressing risk management, travel, etc. for all registered student organizations
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5 or more years of related professional experience, and 3 or more years of supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
