The Advising Success Network (ASN) sits within the Research, Policy, and Student Success department at NASPA. Created in 2018, the ASN is a dynamic network of national organizations partnering to engage institutions in holistic advising redesign to advance success for all students, including Black, Latinx/a/o, Indigenous, Asian, and Pacific Islander students and poverty-affected students. The network develops services and resources to guide institutions in implementing evidence-based advising practices. The ASN is coordinated by NASPA, and its partners include Achieving the Dream, the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, EDUCAUSE, NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising, the National Resource Center for the First-Year Experience and Students in Transition, the Center for Innovation in Postsecondary Education, and Young Invincibles.
About the Positions
The ASN is seeking two interns to assist with marketing and communications. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled at an accredited higher education institution. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for this opportunity. This is a remote position for the Fall 2026 (August-December 2026) and Spring 2027 (January-May) semesters.
The ASN Marketing and Communications Interns will work closely with the ASN team to support communications channels and online presence, assist with content management in the Learning Management System, contribute to marketing initiatives, and help with service-related operations and logistics.
This year-long internship is designed to provide students with a progressive, hands-on learning experience in higher education marketing and communications. During the fall semester, interns will receive training on key platforms, systems, and communication strategies while applying their existing skills through collaborative and individual projects. In the spring semester, interns will build on that foundation by taking greater ownership of projects, managing systems and workflows more independently, and contributing to the implementation of ASN initiatives with increased autonomy and leadership.

In addition, the interns will assist with all-team projects and participate actively in staff meetings and projects and other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned to support the association.

Employment Status:
Part-Time Non-Exempt: Non-exempt employees are those employees who are covered by the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, and are eligible to be paid overtime work in accordance with the provisions of applicable wage and hour laws.

Salary Range
This position pays $25 per hour. The intern is expected to work an average of 10-15 hours per week.
