Brown University's Division of Campus Life seeks an experienced, collaborative, and technologically savvy leader to serve as Director of Student Accessibility Services (SAS), a highly visible role dedicated to advancing accessibility, equity, and inclusion across the University community.
THE ROLE OF DIRECTOR
Student Accessibility Services at Brown University is responsible for the provision of disability services for all students in the University’s undergraduate and graduate programs. Co-located with student support services, the department collaborates closely with ADA and 504, which is also housed within the Division of Campus Life. SAS further partners with students to identify and implement accommodations that allow for their full participation in Brown’s rigorous academic and vibrant university community. Therefore, the Director of Student Accessibility Services plays a highly visible role and is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the student experience are accessible, equitable, and inclusive.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will feel energized at the prospect of joining the Campus Life Division as it stives to become supremely student-centered. The Director will hold at minimum a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, disability services, higher education, educational psychology, or a related discipline, and must be exceedingly well-versed in national trends, Section 504, the ADA, the Fair Housing Act, and other federal and state requirements pertaining to student accessibility.

This is a full-time position that will be performed on site in Rhode Island. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Brown offers a generous benefits package.
