The successful candidate will navigate complex, high-volume caseloads involving sensitive and graphic information, maintaining objective professional detachment while ensuring all actions align with university policy and state/federal regulatory requirements. This position acts as a critical administrative link between behavior, institutional policy, and legal compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

Operational & Systems Management

  • Incident Response: Manage high-volume digital and physical case files within the conduct database (e.g., Maxient) with meticulous accuracy and strict adherence to procedural timelines.
  • Investigative Documentation: Translate complex situations into professional correspondence that adheres to strict policy and legal standards.
  • Crisis Responses & Referral: Manage immediate behavioral crises or high-conflict situations involving students during the conduct process; apply safety protocols and de-escalation techniques, and execute immediate referrals for all support-related needs (e.g., food insecurity, housing, mental health, or basic needs).
  • Operational Autonomy & Project Management: Independently manage multiple projects, shifting deadlines, and administrative workflows with minimal oversight and strict attention to detail.
  • Systems Proficiency & Data Integrity: Expert-level use of conduct-specific databases (e.g., Maxient) and office technology to maintain accurate, audit-ready records and manage high-volume digital workflows.
  • Documentation Update: Maintain the university website and catalog by updating information related to the Student Code of Conduct as necessary.

Institutional Policy & Compliance Coordination

  • Sanction Management & Tracking: Oversee the administration lifecycle of disciplinary sanctions by monitoring student compliance, tracking completion deadlines, and maintaining accurate records within the conduct database. This includes auditing sanction data to ensure institutional accountability and following up on non-compliance in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Policy Communication & Presentations: Develop and deliver presentations focused on the clear dissemination of institutional regulations, disciplinary procedures, and the consequences of non-compliance to ensure procedural transparency and mitigate university liability.

This role involves the regular review and processing of case files, incident reports, interviews, and hearing materials that may contain sensitive or graphic information, including, but not limited to, sexual misconduct, violence, mental health crises, and substance abuse. Successful candidates must maintain objective professional detachment and strict confidentiality while handling these materials in accordance with university protocols.
