Housing and Residence Life at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is excited to connect with future colleagues who are passionate about student success, inclusive excellence, and community-building within residential communities. As part of a land-grant, doctoral high research institution and the nation’s largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU), our department plays a vital role in shaping the Aggie student experience.

Our campus residential system includes approximately 6,500 beds across a diverse portfolio of residential communities, supporting first-year students, upper-division students, and graduate populations. Housing and Residence Life is a large, dynamic operation comprised of around 40 full-time professional staff members and approximately 200 student staff members, all working collaboratively to create safe, engaging, and developmentally supportive living environments.

We pride ourselves on being a mission-driven department that values student engagement, social responsibility, staff development, and operational excellence. Our professional staff members are empowered to make meaningful contributions, develop leadership skills, and engage in cross-functional collaboration while supporting students where they live and learn.

Many of our professional positions are live-on roles, offering the unique opportunity to live within the residential community you serve. Live-on staff receive a fully furnished on-campus apartment, with most utilities included, as part of a competitive total compensation package—supporting both work-life integration and meaningful on-campus presence.
