The ADSI will occasionally be required to lift and set up items correlated to events/programs/meetings, including folding tables/chairs, linens, signage, etc. Some buildings are not fully wheelchair accessible.
This position requires the ability to interpret college policies and apply them to a wide range of situations involving Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), student government, and campus events. The Assistant Director must analyze organizational requests, assess potential risk, and determine appropriate guidance related to financial processes, event planning, hazing prevention, accessibility, and institutional compliance.
The role frequently involves responding to changing circumstances and advising student leaders who may have limited experience managing organizations or large programs. The position must evaluate complex situations involving multiple stakeholders and balance student development goals with institutional policies and safety considerations.
In addition, the position manages multiple concurrent processes-including RSO registration, training programs, campus-wide events, and student government support-requiring prioritization, problem solving, and coordination across several departments. While some responsibilities follow established procedures, many situations require adapting those procedures or developing solutions to address unique organizational or operational challenges.

Remote Work Policy
Hybrid on-site/remote work arrangements may be available up to 1 day per
