Founded in 1889 as New Mexico’s flagship institution, The University of New Mexico now occupies nearly 800 acres near old Route 66 in the heart of Albuquerque, a metropolitan area of more than 900,000 people. From the magnificent mesas to the west, past the banks of the historic Rio Grande to the Sandia Mountains to the east, Albuquerque is a blend of culture and cuisine, styles and stories, people, pursuits and panoramas.
Offering a distinctive campus environment with a Pueblo Revival architectural theme, the campus buildings echo nearby Pueblo Indian villages. The nationally recognized campus arboretum and the popular duck pond offer an outstanding botanical experience in the midst of one of New Mexico's great public open spaces.
Under general supervision, oversees, coordinates, and advises a variety of activities and programs associated with student campus life, to include the student government, campus-wide events, programming boards, and other related student programs. This position will advise ASUNM Student Special Events (Concerts, Speakers, Comedians, Etc), ASUNM Arts & Crafts Studio, ASUNM Community Experience (Community Service), ASUNM Outreach and Appointments Committee, and co-advise the ASUNM Elections Committee.
This position coordinates campus-wide programs including: Friday Night Live, Welcome Back Days, Fiestas, Silent Lights, Lobo’s Got Talent, Spring Storm, Arts & Crafts Fair, Harry Potter Day, Star Wars Day, and more. It oversees one professional staff member and a student marketing staff of two. This position must be willing to work nights and weekends.

The Student Activities Center is the center of student life at UNM. Two Student Governments, 20+ Fraternities and Sororities, and 250 Student Organizations count on our staff for guidance and resources.
