In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Conduct Program Management:

  • Process behavioral and academic misconduct cases reported to DOS through various systems including Public Safety reports, community reports and HRL incident reports.
  • Support the adjudication process for all levels of behavioral and academic misconduct including scheduling, writing and compiling reports, as well as other administrative duties.
  • Coordinate the conduct process for Housing and Residence Life response to behavioral misconduct in collaboration with HRL staff who act as hearing officers to ensure appropriate response that supports growth and development of students while maintaining the health and safety of the campus community.
  • Collaborate with multiple institutional partners to ensure health and safety, including Housing and Residence Life, Office of General Counsel and Department of Public Safety
  • Review daily security and incident reports received and file or route as appropriate
  • Recruit and train Student Conduct Board members and Respondent Advisors to support the mission of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support fo HRL staff to ensure a high quality and timely conduct process that centers student learning and development.
  • Manage the Student Right and Responsibilities email account and compose a variety of correspondence, including sensitive, confidential, official communications, and/or documents.

Technical Support and Data Analysis

  • Process and analyze data to produce reports for institutional partners including Housing and Residence life to inform ongoing training plans to strengthen response to student incidents
  • Manage and oversee compliance-related databases, including Advocate and Vector Solutions, to track and report student conduct and training compliance.
  • Provide customer service to campus constituent and student users of a variety of department-specific software and programs

Conduct Investigation and Adjudication

  • Adjudicate low to mid-level behavioral and academic student misconduct hearings, manage case files, consult with the office of general counsel as appropriate.
  • Conduct investigations for behavioral misconduct and create and compile reports for student conduct hearings

Departmental, Divisional, and Campus Support

  • Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms for both departmental needs and institutional requirements.
  • Assist university offices and Student Affairs and Enrollment Management units during peak periods such as Bronco Welcome, Residence Hall Check-In, Convocation, and Commencement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Exercise discretion and independence in applying policies and procedures

  • Ability to work efficiently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Advanced organization skills
  • Professionalism, courteous interpersonal skills, and experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Technological skills using databases, Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Google Suite, etc.
  • Ability to analyze data and inform practices
  • Compose a variety of correspondence, including sensitive, confidential, official communications, and/or documents
At a minimum, you should have the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience

The preferred candidate will have:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as: social work, counseling, education, public administration, or similar.
  • 2+ years experience in a higher education setting.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary for this position ranges from $52,000 to $58,000 and depends upon experience. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package, including (but not limited to):
