The University of Maryland College Park seeks a strategic, visionary, and operational leader for the role of director of the Adele H. STAMP Student Union – Center for Campus Life.

The STAMP Student Union – Center for Campus Life (the STAMP) is the University of Maryland's hub for student engagement, co-curricular learning, and campus life. The STAMP serves as the central gathering place for the campus community and was recognized among the Top 25 Most Amazing Campus Student Unions in the United States by Best College Reviews.
 
Reporting to the assistant vice president for engagement in Student Affairs and serving as a key member of the Division of Student Affairs senior leadership team, the director will cultivate an inclusive, engaging campus environment by strengthening student belonging, modernizing systems and policies, and forging deep partnerships that advance holistic student success. They will also lead the next era of facility and organizational transformation, overseeing major capital improvements, reimagining spaces, and aligning staff and resources to sustain a vibrant, future‑ready Union at the heart of campus life. A relational leader and effective communicator, the director will inspire and articulate the STAMP's critical role in the student experience. They supervise six direct reports with 99 full-time equivalent staff, 19 graduate assistants, and more than 400 hourly student employees and manage a $23.7 million budget.
 
The successful candidate will have a master's degree and at least 10 years of progressive experience in housing, residence life, or student affairs administration with at least five years of experience supervising and managing professional staff; a doctoral degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs or a relevant field is preferred. They will have an ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and applicable law and manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service, equity, and cultural competence.

The anticipated compensation range for this position is between $200,000 and $210,000 annually.
