Primary Purpose of the Organization Unit and Position Summary:
The Office Intercultural Engagement, a part of the Division of Student Affairs at UNC Greensboro, supports our diverse student population in achieving their academic goals, by promoting student success through culturally rich experiences and affinity focused support. OIE provides opportunities for student-centered community building, leadership development, intergroup dialogues and cross-cultural engagements that prepare students for success in a diverse global society.
The Assistant Director of OIE is part of a team of collegial and dedicated student affairs professionals who work together to engage all UNCG students in inter, intra, and cross-cultural learning and intercultural competency building. The Assistant Director, reporting to the Director of the Office of Intercultural Engagement (OIE) will apply their skills, experience, and knowledge to advance initiatives which include an intergroup dialogue program and programs that center belonging and academic success. The Assistant Director will work closely with the director and assigned academic areas to build strategic programming and key relationships.
