The Resident Director (RD) position is expected to respond to students in crisis, follow up on CARE (Coordinate, Assessment, Response, Education) concerns, and engage regularly with residents in their area.

Campus Services and Auxiliary Services provides essential campus-wide operations that enhance daily life and support the university's mission. Focused on providing quality services and experiences that engage the University of Idaho and greater community.
Units include Housing & Residence Life, Idaho Eats, multi-use facilities, event and conference services, Strategic Events, Vandal Golf Course, the VandalStore, Campus Operator and Campus Mail.
The department supports the enrollment and retention goals of the university by partnering with Strategic Enrollment Management, Student Affairs and other departments to ensure support and success for all students.
By aggregating these services, the university realizes substantial operating efficiencies, better serves our community and is able to reinvest directly into facilities, programs and services that benefit the entire campus and student success.
